Who I am and Why I’m here

So, my first assignment  or challenge for WordPress Blogging University is to give my reader (hopefully will change to “readers” soon) a sense of who I am.

I was a city girl working and living amidst sky high buildings and shopping malls, cinemas and recreation centers, of great parks and museums.  Anything you want is available to a point where malls and fastfood restaurants are saturating every available square foot.

Coming here was a refresher… for a few days…

I have never missed the traffic and the noise of the shuffled paces of people trying to rush to work (or school), the honks and beeps of the buses and all modes of transportation trying to get through the rush hour or the loud chatters from sidewalk vendors – in my life.  Although I love the quiet walks on the beach and the romantic sunsets. These daydreams slowly fade away replaced by the longing to be with family and friends.  You see, simple things mentioned above might be what some people ran away from but for me, it fades out the truth that I am thousands of miles away from familiarity, from comfort.

From when I stepped foot on island in 2006 up until now, Turks and Caicos Islands is still a vague dream day destination.  Thus, I understand the frustration of most visitors when they don’t know where to go or what they would like to do, where to eat or which local dish to savor.  Af

And that my friend is where I come into the picture.

I will be your (almost) virtual tour guide so that you can plan your vacation accordingly.  Because here, I will be sharing snippets of the wonderful paradise that I now call home.  You will have a glimpse of total island living and be able to better picture yourself of your dream day getaway.

I hope I will be able to assist you in planning and I hope you enjoy reading, too!

Smile with me… dream with me…

Are you ready?

Don’the forget to share your virtual experience with me too… (no, I’m not Ada so don’the be afraid to trust me with this)
